Check if Windows is Licensed

You can check the status of your license by typing in the search field in the lower left of your desktop: "Activation"

Click "Activation settings". If Windows is activated correctly, the window should read "Windows is activated using your organization's activation service"

Activate Windows by Going on Campus

The easiest way to get Windows or Office licensed when this error appears is to come to an OSD campus and log in.

Once logged in, the process to update the licensing is automatic.

Use the "Check if Windows is Licensed" portion to validate after logging in.

Activate Windows by Using VPN

For this process, you need to have setup and activated VPN. Go here if you have not yet done this.

1. Type in the search bar in the lower left the words CMD.   DO NOT PRESS ENTER AFTER TYPING!

2. RIGHT CLICK the "command prompt" application and select "Run as Administrator"

3. In the newly opened black box type:  “Slmgr.vbs /ato”
